BMA Celebrates MICA 200 is a focus exhibition honoring the Maryland Institute College of Art’s 200-year history and its lasting influence on Baltimore and contemporary art. Presented entirely from the Baltimore Museum of Art’s collection, the exhibition brings together 17 works spanning nearly 150 years, including painting, sculpture, photography, film, textiles, jewelry, and works on paper. The range of media reflects MICA’s traditions of material experimentation, critical inquiry, and interdisciplinary practice.

The presentation highlights the contributions of MICA artists, faculty, and alumni while emphasizing the Baltimore Museum of Art’s role in preserving the city’s artistic history.
