UMBC Camerata
The UMBC Camerata and guest artists, led by Lulu Mwangi, present a concert celebrating music, country, and humanity. The auditioned ensemble features singers from throughout the university and performs repertoire spanning Renaissance motets and madrigals, folk songs, German part songs, Russian sacred liturgies, American spirituals, and contemporary American concert works. Camerata has also appeared with the Handel Choir of Baltimore and the Howard County Concert Orchestra.
Presented by the UMBC Department of Music, the concert takes place in person at the university’s Linehan Concert Hall. Tickets are not required, and free parking is available near the Performing Arts and Humanities Building.
