Spread the Jam: December 2026

Spread the Jam is an inclusive, non-hierarchical jam session designed for musicians of all experience levels. The gathering emphasizes honest communication, community building, liberation, and creating a more equitable and supportive music scene. In addition to playing together, participants can join a community discussion and workshop original compositions.

The session is led by Baltimore saxophonist Johanna McGuire, an active local performer and music educator. She teaches at music camps including Hilton Head Jazz Camp in South Carolina and Anne Arundel North Bay music camp, drawing on her performance and teaching experience to help musicians develop their own sound.
