SHOULD OLD ACQUAINTANCE BE FORGOT: Employing the Editor to Take Out the Trash, with Rahne Alexander
Join writer, performance artist, and UMBC alum Rahne Alexander for a hands-on workshop exploring writing, editing, performance, reflection, release, and self-kindness. Participants will use a new sketchbook and markers to develop ideas, identify pages or thoughts they are ready to set aside, and wrap the notebook as a personal gift to themselves.
The workshop ends with a celebratory “cup of kindness” featuring sparkling cider and a collective ritual in which participants destroy their discarded pages. The tactile, playful process is designed to mark a fresh start, with each attendee taking home a personalized reminder of the experience.
