Black Frequency Sound Library: Analog → Digital
Black Frequency Sound Library: Analog → Digital is a hands-on workshop led by DJ and archivist Xavier “Seven” Walker. Participants can bring a favorite CD or vinyl record, or select one from the Black Frequency Sound Library, and learn how to convert analog sound and media files into digital formats. The program combines digitization with music and communal listening.
Walker is the creator of [THE FUNCTION] and Black Frequency Archive, a collaborator with Perfect Memory Radio, and a multimedia DJ, archivist, and cultural organizer whose work explores Black Diasporic traditions, memory, movement, intimacy, and overlooked histories.
